Dan started racing at the end of 2008. After having completed a degree in Computer Science at the University of Bristol he decided to follow in his father’s footsteps and contest the British Formula Ford Championship.
Starting from virtually no track experience he entered selected SEMSEC races at Lydden Hill and Brands Hatch in a Caterham C400 to get a feel for racing. Meanwhile Minister International were pulling out all the stops to get his Mygale chassis ready for the new year and an intensive program of testing.
2009 was always going to be a learning year and it soon became obvious that with Dan Cammish running rings around the championship runners, results in the scholarship class would be hard to come by. The season peaked with a class win at Brands Hatch, the team’s home circuit. Along with that came top ten finishes at Silverstone and Castle Combe.
The aim for 2010 is to move forward up the grid and capitalise on some of the promise shown last year. Along with contesting this year’s Formula Ford championship, Dan is also studying Automotive Engineering at the University of Bath.
